In addition to providing care and attention at games and practice, the skilled practitioners from Granite State Physical Therapy can conduct concussion impact baseline testing, to help gauge when concussed athletes are ready to return to sports. For those athletes that sustain a concussion injury, Granite State Physical Therapy provides management, including monitored exercise during which they progress injured athletes with exercise in a safe environment.

Further, the athletic trainers and physical therapist work together as a team to regularly screen and rehabilitate the injured athletes that have sustained sprains and strains, ACL injuries, and other knee ligament injuries, rotator cuff injuries, ankle sprains, shoulder injuries and more.

“We are proud to offer our ATC services to our local community, to insure our student athletes are able to perform in a safe and healthy environment,” states Brian Verville DPT, founder of Granite State Physcial Therapy.

Granite State Physical Therapy was started in 2004 in Hooksett. It was founded by Brian Verville, who left a hospital setting with the goal of creating a physical therapy practice that would allow him to treat patients without some of the constraints and systems that he felt limited his ability to provide the best patient outcomes.

The site underscores that Granite State Physical Therapy exists to treat, assist, coach, train and motivate each patient it works with, so that they can get back to living their life in the best way, recover from injury faster, and improve their athletic performance.

This fundamental goal of the company is characterized by giving each individual the time, consideration, respect and compassion that the staff themselves would expect to receive.

The expert team of physical therapy practitioners can provide hands on care, one on one treatment plans, and service built on care and compassion that is designed to get the best results for every client.

In 2004, Brian Verville, DPT started Granite State Physical Therapy in Hooksett, NH. Brian left a hospital setting with the goal of creating a Physical Therapy practice that would allow him to treat patients without some of the constraints and systems that he felt limited his ability to provide them with the best overall outcomes and therapy experience. Brian, who grew up in Pembroke, New Hampshire, extended this concept to providing sports medicine coverage for local athletic events and teams. His excellent treatment skills and growing reputation with members of the community and medical practitioners created the need for an additional practice location.

In 2005, Brian partnered with Scott Underwood, MPT, and the Concord location was established. Scott left a hospital based management position to be able to concentrate on developing a practice setting for the same reasons that Brian started the Hooksett clinic. Scott grew up in the Fingerlakes region of New York State in a small farming community. He and Brian found that they share the belief that we are here to provide the members of our community with the excellent rehabilitation services.
