Rasdale Stamp Company Holds Lot Viewings Ahead Of Next Public Auction
Leading stamp auction house will hold its next public auction on May 20th in Westmont
May 12, 2017 ( datsyn.com) – Rasdale Stamp Company, a leading Chicago-area stamp and collectible auction house, has announced that it will hold several lot viewings ahead of its next public auction that begins on May 20th. Pre-auction bidding for the upcoming auction is currently taking place, and will conclude the evening before the auction, May 19th, at 7:00pm New York time.
The lot viewings will allow prospective bidders and those interested in stamps and stamp collecting to look at the stamps and collectibles that will be up for sale at the auction. The lot viewings will be held for five consecutive days from May 15th to May 19th. According to the calendar of events available on the website for Rasdale Stamp Company, lot viewing will take place from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the offices being closed for lunch from 12 noon to 1pm.
The auction itself will be held over two sessions on two consecutive days on May 20th and May 21st. Both the viewings and the auction will be held at the Westmont location of Rasdale Stamp Company, in the western suburbs of Chicago. Further details concerning the upcoming auction and the items available, including informational PDFs describing what will be available on each day of the event, are available on Rasdale’s website at www.rasdalestamps.com/auction.asp . The stamp auction house explains that the auction’s contents were accumulated from locations throughout the country. A unique source of the current auction’s material is stated to be a consignment from the estate of a famous circus magnate who also collected stamps. The collector amassed his diverse collection, according to Rasdale, as he traveled across the country booking unique acts for the circus.
While the stamps were brought and shipped to Rasdale from throughout the United States, many of the stamps trace their origins outside of the United States. “The Worldwide singles group is balanced featuring British Commonwealth, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe, Middle and Far East, Scandinavia, and Latin America. Rounding out session two is another fine group of individual covers with another installment of China from the Peninsular estate,” the stamp company notes. www.linkedin.com/company-beta/3977443/?pathWildcard=3977443
