February 18, 2017 ( datsyn.com) – Exploring Careers with Kids published ABCs of Civil Engineering in 2016, with a focus on helping parents and grandparents share the vocabulary of civil engineering with kids. The aim of Exploring Careers with Kids is to provide fun books with useful information to parents and grandparents working to help young kids learn about careers.
While it may seem unusual to some, Exploring Careers with Kids chooses to focus on helping parents and grandparents share knowledge of careers with their children and grandchildren. The book ABCs of Civil Engineering focuses on the words of civil engineering. Currently, the United States is producing less engineers and many are worried about the continued development of the nation. During National Engineers Week, from February 19-25, 2017, there is a focus on helping people explore engineering with children to encourage them to learn more about this profession. An example of this effort includes the iMAX film, Dream Big.
This book has great pictures and rhymes to help interest children in the words of engineering, which is great because as children learn vocabulary, they begin to understand concepts. Learning the concepts helps them feel comfortable as they explore engineering….
While some sites may be critical that the paperback copies are available through print-on-demand, causing delivery of the book to take a few extra days….
… Exploring Careers with Kids provides value to parents and grandparents that want to help their children and grandchildren learn more about civil engineering. Here are a couple of recent reviews by readers:
5-Star Review – “I bought this book for my daughter and her son. I am a civil engineer. I was never able to tell her what I do and what a civil engineer does. After seeing this book, she was fascinated by the types of work a civil engineer does. Her son is about eight months old. She will keep this book for her son and she is going to show him the ABCs of Civil Engineering when he is a little older. The author did a fantastic job to introduce this important profession of civil engineering to kids and adults like…I extend my appreciation to the author for his wonderful work.”
5-Star Review – “I really enjoyed reading this little book, and I was surprised by how many new words I learned. The beautiful photos and cute rhymes make it a fun experience. My son is grown now, but he would have loved to read this as a boy. I’m gonna recommend it to him, and I’ll read it with all my grandkids.”
