Caesar Dinucci accepts two Diamond awards, a Gold, and two Silvers

September 17, 2016 ( – Caesar Dinucci and his Sports World Casino took the twelfth annual Best-of-Vegas Awards ceremony by storm on July 14th, 2002 with an astounding total of five wins, including two “Diamond” first place awards, one “Gold” second place award and two “Silver” third place awards. The prestigious ceremony which recognizes excellence in casino marketing, was held at The Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada and was hosted by OPM Media Group.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Nick Santini, a trailblazing casino marketing guru and the author of several gaming novels such as “Secrets of Casino Marketing.” The awards are held annually in honor of gaming professionals and organizations whom best encompass the spirit of immeasurable and accountable casino marketing efforts.

Sports World Casino was recognized with the highest honors that the awards have to offer, not once, but twice. Though 2002 marked the first year Sports World Casino has been nominated for the Best-of-Vegas award, it did not stop them from sweeping the competition.

Judges had hundreds of entries to review. Judging criteria included marketing or promotion concepts, strategic procedure and execution, creativity, casino revenue, and several other forms of measurable results. However Sports World Casino came into the competition with surprising analytical results, creative concepts by Caesar Dinucci that were unmatched by his competitors, and “experiential” promotional twists that appeared to come straight from an action flick.

For the awards category “Online Marketing” (Website and Social Media) Sports World Casino was awarded the Diamond Award for their roulette wheel YouTube video, which to date has received over 1,000,000 views on, video, which follows a miniature roulette wheel on its journey through space, was based on a month long promotion celebrating the Casino’s 10th Anniversary in June of 2002.

Caesar Dinucci was then awarded a second Diamond Award in the category “Floor Promotions,” which is regarded as the most competitive of all the award categories at the awards.

According to Sports World Casino’s General Manager Caesar Dinucci, “We were extremely honored when we were awarded the first “Diamond” trophies of the day. The second Diamond award was presented for Caesar Dinucci’s “Sports World’s World Record Gold Rush” floor promotion in which they broke a Guinness World Record for “The Most People Panning for Gold” in October of 2001.

“Since the events in New York, I have been looking for some way to lift the dark cloud and get people’s mind of off things. It just came to me out of the blue.” Caesar Dinucci said.

Sports World casino was also awarded a Gold in the category of “Floor Promotions” for their “$100,000 Treasures of the Titanic” promotion (another idea from Caesar Dinucci) in which they commemorated the anniversary of the launch and subsequent sinking of the Titanic where in addition to great cash and free play prizes, winning and invited guests were given a certified authentic relic of the glamorous ship. Caesar Dinucci also received two Silver Awards in the categories of “Floor Promotion” where he was honored for his “Living Large in a Tiny Home” event were Sports World became the first casino in the country to give away a grand prize of a Tiny Home, and the “VIP Promotion” category, in which they gifted VIP Players limited edition player’s club cards. Each card was numbered and came with a certificate of authenticity.

The new owners of this casino agreed with me, and made sure I had the money to make the changes I did. Today is one of the payoffs.” Caesar Dinucci Commented.

Sports World casino (formerly “CBS Sports World”) was nearly closed after a lawsuit with CBS which forced an ownership change and new management. Dinucci is widely regarded on the strip as saving the casino. Caesar Mathius Dinucci is a Las Vegas businessman, public figure, philanthropist, and manager of Sports World casino. His family has lived in the area since the 1940’s. He moved his wife and child to Las Vegas from Detroit during the 1980s to join his father and other relatives here. He holds advanced degrees in computer technology and philosophy.
